Orange Blossom and Sonny

Thank you MAUREEN WYNDHAM of LAURELBURY POODLES trusting me with your beautiful dogs Orange Blossom and Sonny.  Blossom has blessed us with 2 litters of pups..  First litter all blacks like their father and the 2nd litter all apricots like their lovely mom.  Their father is our Lover Boy (white) who has no apricots in his pedigree.  Rodney just loves their color.  I think he is partial to the color since he is a red head.

Below are pictures of the pups a few hours old and U.S. Champion Laurelbury Will The Son Shine.  Sonny finished with a  5 pt major in the U.S. and needs 2 points in Ontario after a very limited show career .

Thank you Very Much Maureen for your trust and liking my other dogs.

We are also very thankful to Carol Millar and her daughter Lisa doing such a great job with Sonny.  Your care, grooming and showing of Sonny cannot be matched.  Thank you SO MUCH.

Sasha and Mickey

Rodney with Sasha and Mickey. Their mother is Suzie.  We are hoping to have pups from Suzie June 2012.  These pups are so attentive.  They are a beautiful silver and make wonderful family pets.  They are both now with their wonderful families.  We would accept deposits on Suzie’s next litter. Great miniatures.

This is Benny.  He is Sasha and Mickey’s grandfather.  I let his hair grow to show you a different haircut.  If you prefer the hairy face it does not take long to let the hair grow.  Breeders of course with beautiful dogs love to see their elegant head.  Miniatures make wonderful family pets.

Thank you the Brooke’s family .  A wonderful home for Mickey and thank you Helga.  A wonderful home for Sasha.  Robert’s comment “Mickey is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever owned.  ”  Helga’s comment “Sasha is the smartest dog I have ever owned.  You would think he has gone to obedience school.”  I am so, so happy for Mickey and Sasha.

This picture is of Suzie, Sasha and Mickey’s mother.  Her haircut is the continental haircut used for a Show Poodle at one year of age.

Mother’s Day Gift

What a beautiful Mother’s Day Nona Day gift.  After losing her companion of 17 years , a poodle, the Nona’s sons, daughter-in laws, grandchildren knew Nona would be very excited when they surprised her with one of Blossom’s babies.

Rufio

Russ and Marylou visited today.  They have done so well with their first dog Rufio.  Russ’s comment:  “He is such a proud, smart, confident puppy.  I hate to call him a “dog” as he has become so much more and gets a little scary with his almost human insight.”

News

Zoey Jacqueline’s, social butterfly!

Merry Christmas from Zoey.

 Message from Jacqueline Figas:

"Hi Annie,

Yes, please feel free to use my name.  Zoey’s birthday is April 18, 2008, and the class she was enrolled in is called
the Puppy Applause. They have 2 levels for those who want to continue, one is
Puppy 101 (a repeat of the first level)  and the other is Puppy Masters
(they add in a higher level of distraction). They told me I should put her in
Puppy Masters because she learns so fast and really listens well.  Yes,
you’re correct that Zoey and the standard poodle were "stars" in the class, and
in the final competition,  Zoey was paired with the standard poodle – Zoey
won hands down for coming when called (come-sit)  – she was the fastest.
She was already at my feet and sitting when the standard was only 1/3rd of the
way across the gym. (Maybe we should call her "lightening").    She
liked to run "figure 8s" around the gym during the leash-free puppy play, and
any puppies who got in her way she just jumped over them.

I should also mention this "competition" was a very fun, informal friendly
competition on the last night to see how the puppies had done with their 8 weeks
of training.  She was definitely outstanding!

BE CAREFUL  Today I spoke with
Rose:

I had to phone her to tell her that Diamond did not
have any female puppies and that actually we lost a girl.  Rose and George have been waiting for us to have a black
female.  Their black toy female was killed by a Doberman on a lead being
walked by their home.  They have been devastated.

Well, Rose made me feel very proud.  She
said," I told my husband that I will only buy one of Annie’s pups."  They
have had many poodles during their marriage and their last one was the
best.  She said "Annie your dogs were all so beautiful and so obedient and
so friendly".

Rose and George were in the area looking at
poodles hoping to find a black one immediately after the loss of theirs.
Some of mine followed me out to our front lawn.  Crystal jumped in Rose’s
arms.  Rose was willing to take Crystal home.

Thank you Rose for your kind words.  You made
me feel so good.  It’s people like you that keep me breeding these darling
babies.

It is very hard when you lose a baby.  We do
look at the fact that we just had 16 puppies out of 5 females.  That is
probably a record with toys.

DON’T TRUST YOUR TOYS WITH ANY BIG DOG.  PICK
THEM UP WHEN YOU PASS ONE 0

Winter Gear

"Hot Flash"  Melodie has tried winter gear on
Lalita during the first snowfall in Regina.  Woody is a pro and Lalita has
caught on.  Melodie is such a sweet girl and loves her babies.  I will
not ship my dogs, but they can sit on a plane with you! Melodie knows us now and
stays the night.
